This is our third visit, and The Pear is definitely one of our favorite joint in town! Chicken and grits is my favorite. It's wonderfully hearty and always served sizzling hot. But just a note to the kitchen: green beans or asparagus are so much betterthan chard. Chard made the whole plate a little bitter. The crab cake, chicken and waffles, and the Reuben are very tasty aswell. For dessert, my husband gets the cookies and cream every time. Would love to try their mac cheese and the beer cheesesoup on our next visit! The staff is always friendly and attentive. The outdoor seating is a must on a sunny day, but indoor iscozy and comfortable any day. If you're in town, be sure to visit this place!
I really enjoyed dining here! The outdoor dining area was so beautiful and cozy thanks to these outdoor heaters they have. I enjoyed everything I ordered. Special thanks to Jake our waiter for patiently answering questions about the menu and forrecommending the ?Uncle Art? Pizza! It was delish!
What a great place we tried today!!! Beautiful scenery ... Fantastic food and great service! We had the lentil curry soup (OMGosh) ... the salad trio .. chicken salad and tuna salad are delicious! Coconut gelato ... Stop!!! You won't bedisappointed!!! A new favorite!!!
First time here this past Sunday, celebrating our oldest daughter's recent birthday. We had a very enjoyable experience for Sunday brunch. We were seated after a short wait, had great table service, and all the food was excellent with greatpresentation. We observed a lot of the other plates and drinks going to others around us and all of it looked good. On Sundaysthey only use their brunch menu vice the full one, but there was plenty to choose from and all sounded great. Three of us hadthe chicken and waffles with an unusual made-in-house sorghum-based syrup. Very good, and different. My wife had the triplescoop salad, choosing three different salads. She said they were all really good. The venue itself was great. We chose tostay inside due to the heat, but they have a nice deck looking out onto the trees toward Cypress Creek. They had misters going, and there was a breeze, so probably would have been okay, but will give it a try in the fall when temps a bit more moderate. Wedefinitely will come back and try other items on the menu. Great first time visit.
