What AprilForbes doesn't like about The Red Lion Pub:
This pub was very busy and unless you had booked, it was a wait. We therefore went for a walk around the quaint village and came back a bit later. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I enjoyed my food, I had a well-done burger with a lot of chips, in fact I couldn't eat it all and had half to take away. We recently had the pleasure of staying at the Red Lion and it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by the warm and friendly staff who made us all feel right at home. The location of the hotel couldn’t be better – it’s nestled in the heart of Lacock, with easy access to all the attractions. One of the highlights of our stay was the delicious food offered at the hotel’s restaurant. All our meals were excellent, and I especially loved the freshly cooked breakfast made to order. It was the perfect way to start each day of exploration. The rooms were impeccably clean and welcoming, providing a cozy retreat after a day of sightseeing. Overall, my stay at the Red Lion exceeded all expectations, thanks to the amazing staff, fantastic location, and delicious food. I can’t wait to return!
I easily made a reservation for Sunday lunch. The service on the day was fast and attentive, and the Sunday roast was delicious.
Very good accommodation and location. Excellent breakfast choice and quality.
During our two-night stay at The Red Lion, we had a wonderful time. The hotel's location in the village of Lacock was ideal. The staff were excellent, the food was delicious, the rooms were comfortable and warm, and parking was easy and free. The pub was lively with a good atmosphere and live music on one of the nights.
Possibly the very best onion rings I have ever enjoyed! The secret is they use the same beer battery as they use on the fish! Delicious chicken and mushroom pie, too!
