We have been for Sunday lunch four times over the last few months, and it is always fantastic. We are new to the area and have tried many other establishments and the Kings Arms is by far the best for a Sunday lunch! What Dayslane doesn't like about The Kings Arms:
Well i am sorry to say that this is not as good as it used to be.New management has made it not worth visiting anymore. The menue was very limited, we had to wait ages for our food, that was ok, but not worth the wait.I gave the Kings arms a sparkling review before, but I really can not recommend it anymore. A good meal and excellent service. Good portions of high quality foods. Plenty of room inside and a great garden, weather permitting.
Excellent service from Joe Alaina who expertly accommodated my evening dining drinking needs. They the chef were kind enough to hang on, when I was delayed arriving by 15minutes at end of dinner service, yet still he food was delicious, not rushed, well presented very filling. The dessert was absolutely divine. The pub itself encapsulates an old country feel in a charming building with a lot of character a historic feel, but fuses with a modern dining drinking experience you get in higher quality establishments. The menu had a mix of classics bespoke options with a fine dining twist, to suit most tastes. The IPA on tap was one I had not come across previously, but was full of flavour better than the usual fair in most pubs. The after dinner Cappuccino was very decent also. A good quality selection of spirits wines from what I saw at the bar when arriving. The pub also appeared family friendly, but with very good separation between dining areas tables. The weather was British summer best (rain) it was dusk, so I didn’t venture to the outside area, but I would bet the garden is nice when weather allows. The Kings Arms is definitely worth a short trek to Monkton Farleigh from Bath or Bradford, to get away from the typical tourist trap restaurant chain dining that is mostly offered in such places. Thanks to the staff friendly locals for looking after me. I enjoyed so much am back there again tonight.
Absolutely lovely lunch today super lovely pub/restaurant staff were great and service was fab … we booked then they made more room for more family … hidden gem in Bradford on Avon countryside near batheaston well worth a visit x
Absolutely amazing place to stay, Accommodation was clean comfortable and you can tell there has been attention paid to every detail ,it’s perfect. The Staff we’re absolutely amazing so friendly and helpful, the food is fantastic the chef definitely knows his stuff,. The Kings Arms is a charming building in a brilliant location. We stayed for three days with our two dogs and the service we received was excellent, if we ever come back to the area we will definitely stay here. Perfectly situated to visit Bath, and the village has got some lovely walks and places to explore. Highly recommended
We don't eat out often but this was a super Sunday lunch roast chicken and roast lamb. It is a beautiful, old pub and the staff is very friendly and helpful. A pleasant relaxed atmosphere. There is also a pretty, rear garden which was very sunny when we visited.
