What User doesn't like about The Kings Arms:
We arrived before our slot on Saturday expecting great things. The guy on reception looked like we'd disturbed his chain of thought and dismissively told us to get a drink, find a table and someone would be along. We snagged a table and a...couple of cokes and after waiting minutes concluded that we were in the wrong place. I checked on my way out but no, we were in the Kings Arms alright. There must have been tables... View all feedback.

I thought we were getting a fast meal while in malmesbury and decided for the kings poor, because tapas seemed like an intelligent bet for fast and easy eating. I wish we hadn't disturbed each other. we have a real pint to begin with and become one. we got the attention of the server when we were willing to order, but who had to arrange some advice. when we ordered a few dishes for our table, we waited about half an hour before everything was brought out. the first dish to arrive was the recommended meat plate, I don't know how it took minutes to take slices of meat from a package and toast small pieces of focaccia for people. I thought when this court was recommended for us that we could get at least a bit of bread. a few more minutes will pass and other dishes will be brought to us. tiny dishes of fried chicken (although probably could be described as dried chicken), some meatballs and a “special”, the fried fried balls of different flavors and some mayonnaise. certainly not especially. After we sat down in asking if the amount of the huh we were made available was really all we would get, someone came back and said: "No these dishes is not for them, so I will take it back and they can share one of the dishes" a special package had also ordered, but did not arrive so that we asked this at the time. he took our bun away and then came back and told us that the bun had now been put in this package and that is what it was actually. the wrap was almost cold. we told them about this fact and were offered two options, “does not have it, or we can do it for them microwave”, as there was apparently no longer a whn in the spatialities. it came back after what I suspected was only a second stint in the microwave and it was when something worse. we decided to get out of there, so we were on the way, a good pint, cold chicken and a little meat. after our frightening they kindly pulled the cost of the packaging that the restaurant back and forth so that everyone we ended. to go hungry, filled with nothing but regret.
Really nice high street pub, good service, good beer and safe environment. very well located for our hotel and restaurant.
We had heard good things about this pub, so decided to book. it was a busy Thursday early evening (the kitchen closes. the greeting was warm and friendly from a beautiful young man at the bar. Before we sat on our table, they kindly informed us that there was a party from inside and order quickly if possible. another young man, came to take our order and was helpful with recommendations. the food arrived and we had croquettes very nice, so also the special lamb stew, sad the potato grays, aubergine and lentil stew and fried fish were not so good, apparently not to season.
Expecting a pub we instead found a beautiful space, or rather spaces. The bar area, a window seat, and a large, bright space under a skylight perfect for a larger gathering. All tastefully and beautifully decorated. Check out the amazing old olive tree. Wow!...The licensees Simon and Marianne have created a welcoming, friendly environment and offer an exciting and mouth-wateringly delicious range of tapas-style food from countries. We had generously-sized, for tapas, dishes and will return to have more. What was particularly impressive was the ability to cater for all tastes, allergies, and dietary needs. Superb and very highly recommended.
