What Dawn S dislikes about Palmer Gardens Cafe:
I was extremely disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. It was my first time trying their breakfast menu and the service was incredibly slow. There was no apology given for the delay, even though the restaurant wasn't busy. When my food finally arrived, it wasn't very hot and the quality was poor. I had requested my bacon and sausages to be well done, but they came out the same as my friend's order. The p... View all feedback.

This Shaw Trust enterprise is visually appealing and also provides valuable opportunities for disabled and disadvantaged students to learn about the workplace by working in the garden center and café. The staff and students are friendly and helpful, and the food and drinks served are of high quality. It's a fantastic place to meet friends, even if they don't need anything from the garden center. However, with such an attractive selection of plants, gardening supplies, pots, and more, they might just find something they want! After a productive day, visitors can relax in the lovely café and enjoy some freshly prepared treats. This is definitely a must-visit location, and a great asset to both Shaw Trust and the community. Well done and keep up the excellent work, everyone!
The staff and the meal were outstanding. The plants are beautifully maintained and serve as a wonderful example of care.
Great relaxing atmosphere. amazing personal, friendly service and great coffee and cake. very recommended :
First time visited today to take my Daughter to see Santa , what a lovely place. Well done to all staff, all looked happy, very welcoming, and couldn't do more to help us. Especially the mananger went out of her way to look for a snowman decoration that we wanted. All had a lovely time. Well done all of you x
Nestled in the heart of Trowbridge, this restaurant offers a mixed bag of experiences. While some patrons praise the quality of food and friendly, attentive staff, others lament slow service and inconsistent meal preparation. The ambiance, though charming for some, is deemed run-down and unwelcoming by others. Concerns about high prices relative to food quality and the lack of child-friendly accommodations persist. Many express reluctance to return, feeling that improvements in service and atmosphere are needed. Despite its hidden gem potential, the restaurant struggles to consistently meet customer expectations, leaving guests divided in their overall impressions.

The prices were high compared to the low quality of the food and service. The tables took a long time to be cleared and the staff were not very attentive. Overall, I would not consider coming back to this restaurant.
Located in the heart of Trowbridge, this charming hidden gem is often overlooked. The staff and volunteers are welcoming and friendly, making you feel right at home. They offer a variety of gardening tools and accessories, as well as high-quality plants, shrubs, and fruit trees that are well-maintained. The space is wheelchair accessible and provides a relaxing atmosphere with no pressure to make a purchase. As a fan of garden centers, this is definitely one of my favorites.
Spontaneous visit. The staff was very friendly. The freshly cooked vegetarian breakfast was delicious. I will definitely be coming back.
We visited the cafe, we found a table, I went to order our lunch, one of our granddaughters wanted a orange juice to which I purchased at a very expensive £1.49 I have to add it was a small carton lunch arrived did not look appetising at all, I definitely would not recommend this cafe for several reasons 1 the cafe is run down 2 extremely high prices 3 No atmosphere did not feel comfortable 4 not child friendly My recommendation would be avoid, I will not be recommending this cafe to family, friends or work colleagues
Went today for lunch , food was very nice and really well presented , we had a beautiful roast dinner and had jam roly poly for dessert which was devine. the staff working in the cafe were very friendly, welcoming and accomodating and a credit to the place , would highly recommend giving this cafe a visit .
