This café is fantastic, with a welcoming staff and even a designated area for dogs to exercise. The toilets are also brand new and spotlessly clean. It's a great little spot to take a break. View all feedback.

This place used to be one of several Little Chef outlets dotted along the A303. It wasn't great then but had basic facilities and wa notable to my mind only for having had signs attempting to prevent Glastonbury festival goers like me from using the facilities on their way home. This time on 12th Sep 2020 we needed a break fro hot drinks, possibly a light snack and to relieve ourselves. When we parked up I noticed that mature trees had been felled and postable accomodation installed, maybe so workers can be employed on a package to avoid the minimum wage. Anyway the signs on approach suggested this was still a restaurant with toilets. With no explanation the restaurant was in fact closed and no toilets were available hence a steady flow of people to the field behind. All that was available was a poorly stocked take away hut. Very dissapointing and yes CV19 means we have to be super careful but restaurants like this can take measures as fo many others to minimse risks and actually proved a service. Bring back Little Chef!
Travelling from Devon to London to visit our new granddaughter .Pulled up at 7:40 ,restaurant opens 8am but were welcomed in. Firstly noticed cleanliness of place ,staff very attentive. Food great,my husband had full cooked breakfast ,I had a vegetarian option .Both great and non greasy.Got free refill on filter coffee.Used facilities before leaving absolutely spotless.
This restaurant must be under new management( noted dreadful reviews from 2014) because we had a deliciously lovely sandwich of crispy bacon and chicken. Great tea and coffee and the most charming, courteous, helpful and smart gentlemen serving us. Food cooked to order. Open, yet for hygiene reasons I assume, totally separate, view of a spotless kitchen area. Clean aprons, shirts etc. Toilets very clean and wholesome. In short most highly recommended.
Shocking place, stopped there as Road signs said it was services. When we pulled into the car park there was a hand written sign say no walking of dogs which for a service station is rare. Having stopped to eat, fill up with fuel and use the toilets we needed to use the toilets first so we started walking directly to the toilets across the tarmac area with our dog as the car park was opposite end of toilets. We was then confronted by a very angry waiter yelling ‘You can’t walk your dog here!’ I said I wasn’t, just walking to the toilets. He kept yelling the same thing and threatened me with a £80 fine if I continued! I said he wasn’t being friendly towards customers in which he replied he didn’t care and find somewhere else! I did and he lost £20 in food and £90 in fuel. Good luck in building your business in the future. The first photo shows the hand written sign near the entrance of the cafe, second photo shows the sign on the opposite side of the area. The third photo shows the really nice place we found.
