If you're staying there and don't feel like going into town for a meal, and don't want Subway, then the Kebab Van could be a good option for you. I've been there a few times now, and the Cheeseburger is really good. With medium chips and a soft drink, it costs £6.60. You don't need to get the large chips, as the medium portion is plenty, even for a big eater! The guy who runs the place will also put mayo on your chips and give you a fork, so you can enjoy your take-out back at the Travelodge (if you can call it comfortable!). There's usually a cat hanging out by the van – it seems well-fed but a bit shy. Maybe next time I'll try a kebab...

Be prepared to wait for your order as it is made fresh. The portions are large for the price, making it a great value. I would highly recommend visiting this well-established kebab van.
