While some rave about the outstanding bagels and the welcoming atmosphere, others lament the lack of attention to detail in food preparation and cleanliness. Many found the coffee and specialty drinks underwhelming, with some noting that the pricing seems disproportionate to the quality. However, for those who appreciate strong coffee and homemade baked goods, the café remains a beloved spot worth revisiting. With an amiable staff and a cozy vibe, it continues to attract both local regulars and curious newcomers. Yet, improvements in service consistency and menu variety are eagerly anticipated.
The hot chocolate and marionberry latte were both mediocre, not exceptional. The fact that they charged an extra 95 cents or $1.90 for oat milk in two average-sized drinks was outrageous. I do not plan on coming back to this restaurant.
Went to several spots in town while visiting, the breakfast bagels will change your life.
I am a local and the only thing I enjoy at this restaurant is their iced tea. However, I am disappointed that they do not even offer lemon slices with it. I have to use lemon syrup from a bottle to add flavor to my drink. It is frustrating that they do not take the time to cut up fresh lemons each morning. The food and coffee are not impressive either. The bagels are decent on their own, but if you take them to go and add your own eggs, they are better. The lack of variety in cream cheese flavors and the use of a microwave for cooking make the overall dining experience very mediocre. It is not difficult to use a real grill and fresh ingredients instead of cutting corners. I wish for a better coffee shop in our community, but sadly, this one falls short of my expectations.
Wow. I really should have read the reviews before I gave this place a shot. What an overpriced, understaffed, grimey little hole in the wall place. The entire store needs a scrub down but judging from the grungy old hag that runs the place, not gonna happenany time soon. Coffee was oily and stale, bagel sandwich was so expensive and disgusting. Staff tried hard but looks joyless andI felt bad for the person at the counter. Will be warning all my friends in the local area to stay far, far away!
The sandwich was fantastic! The ambiance was pleasant, with the option to sit indoors or outdoors. They also have a variety of other products for sale, like coffee, dressings, and more. The service was excellent.
