The Fishbone - Wilsonton Heights

After reading lots of positive reviews on toowoomba community pages, I had high hopes for the Fishbone. Maybe it was a bad night, but they were some of the worst chips I’ve ever had overcooked, flowery and almost like they’d been let go cold and reheated. The fish was rubbery, thin and tasted really ‘fishy’. The fish cocktails were ok but probs had two minutes too long in the fryer. Service was fine and the shop is clean but the food, on this particular night, was way ordinary.

It was amazing service with friendly staff and amazing food. it was evenly price. the prawns were very good and the gluten free options were amazing. I will differently be recommending this to my friends. it is also clean and the staff are amazing.

When ordering, there’s no friendly customer service, no wait times announced when they’re behind on orders. Just cold service and then about an hour wait with zero fore warning. Would not advise trying this out.

The food at this restaurant is fantastic, especially the generously sized portion of snapper - WOW! It can be busy on Friday or Saturday nights, but that's to be expected on weekends. Make sure to arrive early. The staff is friendly and the shop is clean and inviting.

This store is a joke... you ring at 5pm to place an order for pickup and they tell me collection at 7pm. Then I’m told if you come to the store now and place an order over the counter now it will take 20 to 30 minutes.. wtf!! I can’t get my head around the logic. Obviously have no concept on business or customer service. I’ve had enough of those muppets who run this business. Someone please open up something to go in competition to give them a reality check.
