I always enjoy a fantastic meal at this restaurant! Beefmastor is excel... read more BIG IDEA: Great steak I felt the need to review this classic restaurant after having a couple Fancy steak dinners half way around the world. Beefmastor is excellent. I mean that in the purest form, in that they excel. The closest steak I 've had in NC is in the dining room at the Biltmore, but Wilson 's own Beefmastor was better. People will tell you to go to Angus Barn (which is delicious in its own right), but I 've been there a handful of times and have never had a steak as good as that from the Beefmastor. Thoreau said it best: simplify simplify simplify You get to make a salad. You get a steak of your choice in size. You get a baked potato. If you 're kind, you can ask for an onion if that 's your speed. Understand my sincerity in saying you don 't need anything else.
