Always like Platypus and Gnome, Food is always delicious and unique. We will continue to visit occasionally for that reason. We are not major fans of the downtown area of Wilmington for various reasons but it is good food like P and G that brings us there! View all feedback.

our waitress could not be harassed with us. the place was not overcrowded, but she would come to the table to speak with a person to get an order, then would run as if she was in great haste without asking if someone else needed anything. then she would put something on the table and immediately disappear without checking if we needed anything else. This place was really neat! My family and I decided to try this place, and the food was excellent. I'm vegetarian and was happy to find things I can eat. The staff was amazing and super friendly!
Excellent service, atmosphere and beverage selection. We didn't eat, but the menu looked to have some amazing original food you wouldn't find anywhere else. Very friendly, knowledgeable bartender. Recommend a visit if you like a beautiful chill experience in downtown Wilmington.
This place is unique and I enjoyed the eclectic food. I went on a Saturday night and it was busy. Our service was slow, but our waitress was really nice and I could say she had assigned too many tables to her. She did what she could to make our experience a good one. The food offered here differs from what you find on a normal menu, so be ready to be adventurous. But my husband is what I would think of a picky eater and he enjoyed his kangaroo steak! I also liked the fact that their food is produced sustainably.
Updated 6/9/22- there are some new menu items that are AMAZING! In any case, check the Yak-Poutine- it's phenomenal! The Elchburger is always a great choice. My whole family went out for a birthday dinner and when we called, P
We ate here before heading over to a concert at the Live Oak Bank Pavilion. The food was good and the staff were friendly. Our waiter was attentive and the food came out quickly. I had the Bacon Bacon Burger. It was good and so were the fries. I?m not sure why, but the fries had a different flavor that we liked. Maybe they fried them in a different oil?
