They have the best pastries in this area. The scones are perfect! I am unsure how they get them so crispy on the outside and soft inside. Amazing. We've had every type of pastry they sell and each are food.We bought a key lime pie and that was a bit disappointing. View all feedback.
What Christine F doesn't like about Apple Annie's Bake Shop:
So disappointed with my last visit there. I was on the hunt for seeded rye bread . I did purchase one loaf and had it sliced for me. Brought it home and made a sandwich. The color was good , fewer caraway seeds than I like. The crust was soft , what a disappointment. I was hoping for a nice crusty loaf , but sadly it is not . They do make great black and white cookies and pretty good apple turnovers. View all feedback.
This place is always wonderful. The staff is very helpful and can answer any questions you have. Their ready made cakes are delightful, but you can always get a custom cake if you need something specific
I finally found a real bakery in the Wilmington area. The service was excellent, as was the selection. The items I ordered were superb.
I wanted a special birthday cake for my daughter--her birthday is on Thanksgiving this year! I had to order a cake (mint chocolate chip) over the phone because it was no longer on the website as available. The order was taken with no problem! AND the cake is one of the very best I have ever had...everyone was amazed at how perfectly delicious it was. Beautiful decorating, amazing flavor and awesome service--and on top if it, it was the day before Thanksgiving and they were swamped!
We adore Annie's Bake Shop. Everything we have gotten from Annie's has been awesome. Best Éclair I have ever eaten. Amazing cakes for special occasions.
Yesterday was my first time ever going into Apple Annie’s. I have had their cakes before at other events, but I wanted to try what I thought would be one of their specialties an apple pie since the name of the business is Apple Annie’s. The apple pie looked awesome from the counter. However, when I cut into it, it was extremely dry and had so much cinnamon and whatever other spice is used that it covered up the entire taste of the apples. I did like the crust as it was very tasty. I then went to Harris Teeter and bought an apple pie from their bakery area and I have to admit the apple pie at Harris Teeter was twice as good as the apple pie at Apple Annie’s. Truly truly disappointing!!!
