Have the pleasure of celebrating my birthday in this beautiful institution. Due to the social distancing, the experience was expanded on picnic tables next to the barge. I loved the crab cakes and my friends also enjoyed their meals. Can't wait to come back! View all feedback.
What Cortez Powlowski doesn't like about Anne Bonny's And Grill:
Tons of great tropical frozen cocktails to choose from after a hot walk on the boardwalk. There is a great view of the Cape Fear River here and plenty of shade. Food was good I loved the Philly cheese topped fries. Service was fast and atmosphere was not too loud so you could have a conversation without yelling. View all feedback.
Breathe in Anne Bonnys Bar and Grill after the boat tour. We ate here after sunset and could still enjoy the beautiful water view from the surrounding lights. The service was amazing, the food came fast, and it was delicious. My husband ordered a **** Mary and it was so delicious. If I'm ever back in this area, I'll definitely eat again! I 10/10 recommend.
The Sloppy Sailor (Sloppy Joe) Steak cheese was great! The Pommes were good too. It had a magnificent view of the coast!
Anne Bonny has such a beautiful environment on the Cape Fear River! So a fun place to go! The perfect date night place, night with friends or a few drinks! The food is good, but the ambience is the best! The Orange Dream Sickle on the Drink Card is amazing!
If everyone in your party has a delicious food at a reasonable price, the drinks are cold, and the service is good (all employees were so nice! What is not to like? It was also a dog friendly. I was worried about the weather, but they have window coverings so that when it rains (what it did, they can fall down and you can stay dry. I was also worried about getting movement sickness, but the barge is more or less locked, so I didn't feel any movement at all, even if the storms rolled in. We had a great lunch experience here, and while it is definitely a tourist trap with sports bar food, it is worth a fun and a visit!
Could not understanding why the salt didn 't have any rice in it. Couldn 't shake the salt out of the salt shaker it was so wet with moisture. The food was just horrible, drinks were ok but it was not anything that if I lived here in North Carolina that I would NOT go to again. My husband ordered buffalo shrimp as an appetizer requested that the blue cheese crumbles not be put on it. Well it was brought to the table with the crumbles, so we returned it. They were so chewy. They the house chips like potato chips fried were very chewy also from the moisture, asked for cocktail sauce, no tartar well that didn 't happen either. The crab cake I had was to say the least not good. Very fishy tasting. The bed of greens it was laying on was very gross.
