Feedback
Fuel, a quaint BYOB restaurant nestled in Wilmette, boasts a gem-like quality with its unassuming decor and a menu offering exceptional culinary delights. Diners rave about the artistically prepared dishes, from delectable crab cakes to tender chicken saltimbocca, and note the outstanding service. However, experiences vary significantly—some patrons faced abrupt cancellations and lackluster hospitality that dampened their enthusiasm, while others enjoyed serene outdoor dining and delicious breakfasts. With a balanced mix of rave reviews and stark criticisms, Fuel remains a spot worthy of exploration for adventurous food lovers. Expect delightful flavors, but perhaps approach with caution.
Food was okay. Benedict wasn’t super flavorful and my potatoes were a little burnt. Got the bill and had a miscellaneous $2 charge so we asked the waitress and she said “for water.” We didn’t ask for water but there were bottles on the table that were put there when we sat. I assumed they were free. Then we got kicked out of our table after ~45 minutes because another family wanted to sit down. Classy.
I had a veggie burger and upgraded the side salad to a beet salad. Both were delicious! The veggie burger was homemade with rice and beans, and it had avocado on top. The beet salad was fresh and tasty. The portions were fairly generous and the flavors were great! The arnold palmer I got to drink could have been a little stronger, but still a tasty treat. The owner was kind enough to let me work on my computer at one of their tables on their patio outside, which had a nice atmosphere. Vegetarian options: Veggie burger, salad, breakfast options
First time diners. We all want to return. Service was personal. I got a call early in the day, confirming our reservation and reminding that Fuel is BYOB. Appreciated. Food was simple and delicious. Meat eaters were pleased. Vegan was pleased. I'm sorry we hadn't discovered Fuel years ago.
Some of the best, freshest and artfully prepared food on the North Shore! I have yet to experience a dinner but I’m sure it will be inspired. The phrase, “You get what you pay for” applies here as it’s not cheap but worth every penny!
This is a hole in the wall that is worth checking out. It's BYOB. Its tiny. Food is good. Decor will improve with time. I have no idea what anything cost because the entire check came up as “misc”
