We had our first dining experience since March 2020 at this restaurant. The terrace was large and fully covered. We brought two small children who became restless towards the end of our meal, but we had plenty of space around our table to move around. The food was just as delicious as I remembered. Yumm! we have a bomb (without ursache covid) . bark carpaccio can be more tasty (there is still a sauce or taste), but still very good. Octopus balls, bark meat salad, lachs tataki, the prowns and karaage were great. we finished our meal with black sesameis and Matcha cheesecake.
Very delicious food, nice outdoor seatings and very friendly stuff.
Kinka is one of my favorite Izakaya in Toronto. It has been 4 years since my last visit. Menu changes a lot but cuisines are still fantastic. Price is a bit high but worthy.
We just discovered a new place to have dinner. This Izakaya provides great service and respects social distancing rules. If you want to dine here, it is best to make reservation.
My go-to Izakaya for a celebratory meal. The restaurant has the charm of a Japanese restaurant and the food that does not disappoint every time I visit. I was disappointed seeing their truncated offerings right after they reopened post lockdown, but their full menu is back now , much to my delight. I generally order 85% of the same menu with rest being something different, never been let down.. hence you can’t go wrong with ordering here. Seafood is fresh, especially the salmon belly which melt in your mouth like butter. My favorite and the must have is the baked oysters (20 mins to make) which is so well constructed, you will be snacking your lips in no time.
