If you're searching for a cozy spot to enjoy a hearty meal and a great selection of beer, the Large Ire Bar is the place to go. We shared a Reuben sandwich, a giant grilled cheese with toppings, and some crispy fried pickles, all of which were excellent. We also noticed they host trivia nights on Wednesdays, which we plan to return for. Overall, a fantastic experience! View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about The Kerry Piper:
The Kerry Piper is a cozy bar/pub located right off the Stevenson expressway. The inside has this old rustic Irish farm feel to it which makes the Guinness (or Coors lite preferably) taste amazing. The victim for that night was the shepard's pie. Overall it was a real good meal. The mashed potatoes on top of a mini personal iron skillet were crisp. Then the beef underneath contained all the flavors. But the menu seem... View all feedback.
If you’re a craft beer enthusiast, there’s a craft brewery just up the street. You can grab some food at the Kerry Piper, enjoy a Guinness or two, and then head over to the craft brewery for a delightful evening. As for the food, I tried the shepherd's pie, which was good but made with hamburger meat instead of lamb. Unfortunately, it was a bit too salty and didn't quite measure up to the authentic shepherd's pie I’ve had in Ireland. That said, I do plan to explore more of their menu on my next visit because there’s such a wide variety of delicious options to choose from—picking what I wanted took me nearly half an hour! You can check out their menu on the website to see for yourself. The only reason I didn’t give a full five stars is that the Irish food I had wasn’t quite on par with what you find in Ireland. However, for the bar setting, ambiance, service, and staff, I would definitely rate it five stars. Be sure to check it out and enjoy!
The food was excellent, and the service was good as well, although it seemed like there was only one staff member working on a busy Friday night. The restaurant was quite crowded, but I would definitely return.
This restaurant is fantastic! The service is excellent and the hamburgers are delicious. I truly enjoy coming here because the prices are reasonable. The only downside is that sometimes the beer isn't chilled enough, which is a bit puzzling. I also heard they host trivia nights, but I'm not sure how frequently those take place.
We went tonight for the first time. The Friday special was seafood: beer battered cod, oysters, clams, calamari, and shrimp. It was awesome. The fish was perfect ! The price was unbelievably reasonable. Sam was a great waiter who was both welcoming attentive. Giving the visit a 5, but clearly deserves a 10!
I had not been here in several years and was pleasantly surprised this past weekend. We had a large party for early dinner for a 40th birthday party and the service never skipped a beat. The food was also exceptional. The kids had fish and chips which wasjust about perfect. My wife had a burger and I had corned beef and cabbage, again, both were excellent. Looking forward tocoming back for a lunch soon.
