If you're searching for a cozy spot to enjoy a hearty meal and a great selection of beer, the Large Ire Bar is the place to go. We shared a Reuben sandwich, a giant grilled cheese with toppings, and some crispy fried pickles, all of which were excellent. We also noticed they host trivia nights on Wednesdays, which we plan to return for. Overall, a fantastic experience! View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about The Kerry Piper:
The Kerry Piper is a cozy bar/pub located right off the Stevenson expressway. The inside has this old rustic Irish farm feel to it which makes the Guinness (or Coors lite preferably) taste amazing. The victim for that night was the shepard's pie. Overall it was a real good meal. The mashed potatoes on top of a mini personal iron skillet were crisp. Then the beef underneath contained all the flavors. But the menu seem... View all feedback.
I really miss this place since I moved west. This place had such a great classic feeling, it with the best cedar on **** I've ever had. They also had boilers cooked vegetable chips and good food. I really want to go back there one day if I ever have the time. I would recommend this place to everyone. I'm not sure if they're still doing, but they always had live-fiddlers playing and they were great.
Wow, Tuesdays 2 dollars big tacos. And great selection in beers.
Nice bar with aww atmosphere. EDIT: UNFORTUNATELY, ON OCT. 8th THEY HAVE POSTED SIGN ON FRONT OF THE DOOR THAT THEY ARE CLOSED PUB!
This place is the definition of a towny bar! The food is good, the people are great, and they have live music almost every night! Can't go wrong with that! I hear they are super busy for ST. Paddy's Day (duh! so I'll be back to celebrate there next year! Check them out!
This is a really nice Irish bar. I've been to Ireland a couple of times and have visited many local pubs and this one is a fine example of a quality Irish pub.and they definitely care about the business and at the heritage because I spoke to one of the bartenders and he told me that Guinness actually comes and does staff training for them, pouring Guinness offering other advice, and bringing Guinness marketing items for the pub. a lot of work and effort has gone into this place and it shows. And if you are a Craft beer drinker right up the street there is a Craft brewery. Stop by Kerry Piper for some food and a Guinness or two and pop over to the Craft brewery down the street. Makes for a real nice evening. As far as food, I had the shepherd's pie which was good but they don't make it with lamb. I believe it's made with hamburger meat and unfortunately it was too salty and not as good with hamburger. However I am comparing it two actual shepherd's pie straight out of Ireland which obviously cannot be beat. I will try many of their other tasty items on the menu when I return because there are so many good things on that menu it takes me about a half hour to choose what I want. Take a look at the menu on the website and see for yourself. The only reason I did not get 5 stars is because understandably the Irish food I had was not his good as it is in Ireland, but for the bar, the place, the ambiance, the service, and the staff, I would give it a 5. Check it out and enjoy!
