First time experiencing this restaurant/sporting event, didn't even know that this establishment existed. Until Open Table proposed to experience it. We enjoyed ourselves the food and service was good. I do have to say they almost all of the patrons where Eastern European descent. We will definitely be dining here again in the near future. What Marylu V doesn't like about Fair Play At Compass Arena:
When we walked in the music was deafening: this wasn't a good situation from the beginning. We waited for everything: 20 minutes to be seated and 20 minutes for drinks. There were plenty of servers milling around, but obviously short staffed in the bar. When we finally ordered our dinner, we thought things might get better.. WRONG!! After 45 minutes, the server told us there was a wedding upstairs. That is a lame exc... View all feedback.

The place smelled like sewage back up. I was going to invite some friends there. But I got there and grabbed a water, left a tip and headed out. I was the only one there other than the staff and the only thing on was soccer. Looks like it could have potential. Maybe the outdoor seating (which is right in front) is the spot to be?
Bought a Local Flavor promotion coupon to try this restaurant food found out that this place is a scam and refused to honor their own coupon. Never again to this place
My wife and I always drive past this place when ever we head towards Burr Ridge. We decided to give this place a go. We arrived around 4:30PM, no one greeted us for a seat, so we decided to just sit at the bar. We were literally 10 feet away from where the staff congregated/checked in for their shift. After sitting at the bar for 5 mins, and being 10 feet away from 5 Fair Play workers that were just standing around talking amongst themselves, someone finally took our drink order and gave us menus. Turnaround on the drinks was quick since I only had a beer and my wife had a vodka soda. A minute after getting our drinks, my wife and I were ready to order food. Again, we were sitting 10 feet away from 4 Fair Play workers that were just standing around and talking amongst themselves. After staring in their direction for 10 minutes, finally someone approached us to take our order. It took about 20 minutes for our food to arrive (cheese burger, cheese curds, and a salad). The food was decent cheese curds were good, my wife liked her salad, the burger was average. The service improved once there was a set bartender behind the bar. Overall, we most likely won 't be coming back here Service was not good and the staff was not friendly. The 'vibe ' did not feel very welcoming for us since my wife and I are not of Eastern European descent.
Had a delicious meal for two with things that we've never had before it's $40 and is quite enough for two people. Excellent in gimlet. They serve delicious bread but they serve it plain so we had to ask for olive oil and parmesan cheese. The wait staff really doesn't speak english. It is like Serbian. We sat outside to enjoy the beautiful weather but we're kind of turned off when we saw an ashtray on every table so we had to deal with smokers. Grrrrrr
