What User doesn't like about Graze Willow Tree Inn:
I have visited the Willow Tree several times and have always found the accommodation to be of a very high standard. I would recommend staying here. Normally, I enjoy the bar menu from the Grazer Kitchen, but during my last visit, the beef dish I ordered was quite disappointing. It consisted of about 60% fat, 20% bone, and only 20% meat. I mentioned this to a worker and showed her the excessive amount of fat on the pl... View all feedback.
I had been looking forward to having lunch here for a long time. As a restaurateur, hotelier and chef in a past life I had followed the Hanna families project at Willow Tree from the start and was finally able to spend a night and have lunch here at Graze. Before commenting on the Graze experience I most sincerely thank the Hanna family for such vision and generosity of spirit in giving us this wonderful place. You only need to spend a little time talking to the staff to get the impression that the Hanna's are great people. The staff are very happy. Now for the important stuff. We were seated and served by Shannon. A beautiful soul in every way. Her efforts were warm and genuine. She was obviously allowed or encouraged to be herself and herself was sensational. Thank you Shannon. We had 1/2 doz oysters in the Chardonnay Vinaigrette, the carpachio of beef, 800 gr rib fillet (we shared), green beans, green salad, wine of course. All excellent. The decor and vibe in the restaurant are excellent. I can see how many would think the place a bit expensive and if you are after a rump, chips and salad for $15 this is not the place. If you are after the best in food, service and experience, then book a table at Graze. Oh, and make sure you book well in advance because I am not the only one who knows about this place.

Went in for a family dinner. The establishment is lovely and tastefully refurbished. The service was excellent in so many ways. We went out to look at the dry curing room and the head chef came out and talked us through the curing process, which was very nice of him. The table service was very good with a newer staff member being well assisted by the manager which really impressed me. The service was completed with efficiency and good humour. The food was excellent with the 600g steak I ordered being one of the best I have eaten anywhere. It is no surprise given the overall experience that this place is an award winner!
We recently travelled to Willow Tree specifically to dine and stay at Graze Willow Tree Inn. The occasion was to celebrate my brother's 70th birthday. As we travelled there by train, we were met at the station and bused to the Hotel. We had lunch on our arrival which was delicious and afterwards were shown to our rooms which were convenient to the hotel (about 5 metres!!). That evening we dined in the restaurant and the meal was superb. Breakfast is included in the tariff and that too was delicious! We even managed to squeeze in a light lunch before being driven back to the train station for our trip home. All in all, our visit was very enjoyable and we all enjoyed the whole experience. We also had the pleasure of meeting with the owners, Charles & Cheryl and they were both delightful and keen to know if we had experienced any issues that they could remedy. We were happy to advise that we had none! The convenience of the hotel to the railway station is very beneficial especially when they offer a pick up and drop off service at no extra charge. There is no doubt that we will be going back!
We were passing through and decided to stop and have dinner as we had heard the meals were great. We were not disappointed. Well worth trying for dinner.
