Stephenson's B-q - Willow Spring

I love the bbq. loves the fried chicken... so juicy and tasteful. they also serve my kind of koleslaw. very basic place to eat, but the ride is even worth picnic. a little business, but my top-fav.

We arrived there at 7:30 and they refused to serve our party saying they closed at 8. All tables were full of uneaten food and had not been bussed. Has a long history of great BBQ, but I'll never be back. Thankful for other dinning options.

Really great place to stop. Small spot, great service. A fun local feel with good food that doesn't break the bank. Tried the hushpuppies, Brunswick stew and chicken sandwich.

After writing my last review of my first visit back to Stephenson's after the covid pandemic, I wrote how disappointed in what seemed to me a complete change in he profile of their Q. I decided to stop in again and I bought a chopped pork sandwich with slaw and two pounds of chopped pork to go. I have to say, the flavor and texture of the pork on the sandwich and the slaw was spot on. The amount of pork on the sandwich overwhelmed the roll. It brought back memories of how the world was before the pandemic. I also saw many familiar faces, both amongst the staff and customers. The parking lot was jammed and the takeout lineup of cars was 12 cars deep. Thank Stephenson's from making things right again.

Wife says best hush puppies ever. Good food, service and fair prices. Never disappointed here.
