Rusty Nail - Willow Lake

Decent size place in a small town. I was not expecting much, but the burger was great and I liked the nice selection of sides. I love the story behind building this place and if in the area again, would definitely come back. Noticed a group of HS girls working on their homework at one of the tables. Seems like a great local spot. I wish this place all best and continued success for many years to come!

We were driving from the Black Hills to relatives in Clear Lake. It was getting late and need a place to eat before everything was closed. We found the Rusty Nail on Google where it had good reviews and decided to give it a try. Monday nights they have a burger special which we tried, burgers and fries were very good. The kids liked the chicken tenders and mini corn dogs. Prices were very reasonable. The girl behind the bar was also the waitress. She was very courteous and attentive. We would definitely go again if ever in the area.

Absolutely fantastic food! We spent a couple of days here and enjoyed the best meals. The Chef salad was loaded with turkey and ham, and everything was incredibly fresh! The prices for the meals were very reasonable as well. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Unfortunately, the weather was terrible, which forced us to stay an extra day. We were so grateful to have such delicious food to enjoy during our extended stay!

The restaurant offers both bar seating and a separate area for families. I decided to try the Monday prime rib sandwich special, which came in a generous portion of thickly sliced prime rib and was served with a delicious au jus. The sandwich itself was quite simple, just bread and beef, but honestly, the quality of the meat made it more than satisfactory. My wife ordered the hamburger steak, which was cooked to perfection and tasted fantastic. The kids had cheeseburgers; while they were a bit pricey for children's meals, the burgers were great. The fries were a highlight—crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside, cooked just right. We also ordered a side of broccoli, which seemed to be freshly steamed and tasted excellent. None of the food was overly salty, which we appreciated, as we could season it to our liking. The salad bar was small but satisfactory; there weren't many toppings for the lettuce, but there was a wide variety of pasta salads, each uniquely different, along with a fruit salad. Since it was Monday, there was only one person working the bar and restaurant, but she managed to keep up quite well. I would definitely eat here again.

Absolutely delicious! My entire family adores this place. Every time we pass through Willow Lake to visit relatives, we make sure to stop by.
