This restaurant is located in a small town and is fairly spacious. They have TV's and VLT's inside for entertainment, but we opted for the lovely outdoor deck. We visited twice during our trip and received excellent service both times. They offer a wide variety of drinks, including selections from local Saskatchewan craft breweries. What Natalia Lara doesn't like about Jolly Giant Pub:
Called this establishment at 9:30pm on a Saturday to get an order of spinach dip for take out. Was told they have a Christmas party there so they would not be filling my order. Guess they do not need my business. View all feedback.
The Jolly Giant Pub in Willow Bunch is not just a friendly pub, but also a fantastic restaurant. During our first night in town, we stopped by for a beer and were impressed by their selection of southern Saskatchewan craft beers and well-known big brewery brands. On our second visit, we returned for dinner and were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. I ordered the pork chop special of the day and my wife went with the artichoke chicken, both of which were delicious. The service was exactly to our liking - friendly and laid back. The pub has a lively atmosphere with TV screens indoors and a peaceful deck outdoors.
Left Winnipeg with 2 main destinations, the towns on CBC TV Series, Still Standing. The towns we picked were Maple Creek and Willow Bunch Saskatchewan. Left Winnipeg and took the Trans Canada to Regina. Stayed at Country Inn and Suites by Radisson nice room. Had a great supper at Creekside pub and Brewery which was just across the parking lot. Next day we continued down the TC and arrived in Maple Creek just ahead of the rain and a day before they were having a big event. We had lunch at the oldest hotel The Jasper and booked in to our Motel, the Maple Creek Motor Inn. Nice room had bar, VLT's and restaurant Very reasonably priced. We spent the day touring the museums and learned about the Cypress Hill massacre and the early days when it was first settled. Next day we left and headed south to the Cypress Hill park and had breakfast there. We then toured park and returned to highway 21 and continued South until we turned East on highway 13. We would stay on this road until we returned home as it is the Red Coat Trail and turn into Highway 2 at the border. We came across the T-Rex museum and the entire ride was great, mostly very good condition with very little traffic. Great Bike riding and scenery, best we have enjoyed for a long time- sort of a hidden route. We arrived at our second destination Willow Bunch and checked into the Jolly Giant Pub and Motel. We met a lot of people there who had been on the Show. Dawn Lessard who owns the Pub and Motel told us about the show, the town, Golf course and museum and some of the history. We met a man who had just purchased a 1957 Triump motorcycle with only 3000 miles on it that had been originally sold to the military at Camp Borden for WWII dispatch riders. Touring the museum, we learned about the 8' 3 giant who was born in Willow Bunch and that the coal mine South of town has tours. We had a fabulous supper at the Pub that was very reasonably priced and met a lot of nice people. This was a great route, sometimes would go for 60 miles and not meet anyone coming towards us. Would recommend this to any bikers looking for something different where you could camp or motel.

If you can imagine the home of the Willow Bunch Giant from the late 1880`s still being a great little community with amenities to enjoy. Green Willow covered hills, great beer and a gold star golf course. Well worth stopping.
Atmosphere was small town pub, which was fun. Was steak nite and was very good . Baked potato and salad.
