Reviews summary
Nestled in the heart of Minnesota, this Somali restaurant offers an authentic dining experience that attracts both local patrons and the curious. Diners rave about the flavorful dishes, particularly the curry chicken and sambusas, which are lauded for their generous portions and taste. However, some guests find the menu visibility problematic and are taken aback by prices. The atmosphere is vibrant, with many enjoying soccer games, yet the service can vary, as communication barriers may arise. Overall, this spot is a must-visit for adventurous eaters willing to explore diverse flavors, despite a few operational challenges.

spectacular! delicious! incredible! I absolutely loved the curry chicken! so much taste in everything and there was so much food in a single part! I could have shared this meal with my wife and we both had more than enough! I am very excited to come back and try something new! View all feedback.
What Lew Tillman dislikes about Faafan:
eating was fantastic and super cheap. the personal was friendly and gave suggestions as we had never had somalian eating. it is so hard to find in the opposite something that was a jewel beside burgers and pasta. View all feedback.

The prices on the menu board were not visible. After we finished our meal, we found out it was $84 for 3 adults, a child, 2 bottles of soda, and a water. We were surprised by the high cost and will not be returning as customers.
This restaurant is focused on serving the local Somali population, as well as those who are willing to overcome the challenges of doing business with them. They have a menu with pictures, names, and low prices for a variety of Somali dishes. When we entered, we noticed many Somali people watching soccer games on YouTube, creating a local hangout vibe. We tried to ask questions at the cash register, but the person working there didn't speak much English and was not very helpful in explaining the dishes. Despite this, we ordered the Chicken Curry and found it to be okay but not particularly interesting. The dish had a tomato flavor with onions, peppers, and three chicken drumsticks, served with lettuce and fried bread.
Could someone please explain why I was not seated or helped? I was really looking forward to trying the food.
I really really enjoyed this place. They have what I believe to be the best sambusas I have ever eaten. Granted my sample size is only about seven or eight different types of sambusa but these guys were amazing. So much meat so much delicious flavor. The meals we ordered were also very very good. I would highly recommend this. Curiously enough they did not allow me to tip.

I just visited a friend and the chicken medicine. it was great! the people who made the food and serve were welcoming and helpful to pick up food we were unfamiliar with. I'll be back through willmar next time.
Delicious food and friendly staff. try the tee; it is amazing! fresh sambusas. we're coming back!
I have never had Somali food before and even though they said the Sambuca's were spicy, I tried them anyway and happy that I did. No where's close to as spicy as I thought they would be and very flavorful! I'm sorry I only got two of them. Thanks for your kind response and help.
