La Cocina, the Mexican restaurant recently under new management, has garnered polarized feedback. While some diners laud its vibrant atmosphere and commendable service, others report dismal experiences marked by long waits, incorrect orders, and unsatisfactory food quality. Complaints range from overly salty rice and bland beans to unappetizing surprises in dishes. Yet, amidst the negative reviews, select patrons praise specific menu items, like the fajitas and quesadilla loca, advocating for the restaurant's potential. Ultimately, La Cocina embodies a blend of culinary distress and glimpses of promise, leaving visitors with uncertain expectations for their next meal.

Was C M at Las Avina a mag?
I always order the quesadilla loca at this restaurant, and it never disappoints. While the prices have increased slightly, it's to be expected. I will definitely be returning soon. The service is consistently good too. View all feedback.
What Paula Black dislikes about Las Avina:
It was freezing temperature inside, the bathroom was equivalent to a filthy truck stop, the table was sticky, the queso dip was runny, but the tacos were good. There’s not a lot in Williston and I chose this vs. Taco Bell. The waitress was very nice and attentive so I tipped her double the bill because I know times are very hard for a lot of people right now. Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 1 View all feedback.
Every restaurant that leaves merry christmas on their windows the whole year and its ears never sit in for the right time has a serious task. I have to ask how often they clean the kitchen. I've noticed this for several years. I have to go on eating there.
The restaurant now called la Cocina has new owners, but unfortunately the food was not up to par. The dishes were not authentic Mexican cuisine, the order was incorrect, and the flavors were lacking. The rice was overly salty in an attempt to compensate for its lack of authenticity. We paid in advance for our meal, but after taking one bite of each dish, we left the food on the table and walked out. This was the first time I did not ask for a to-go box at a restaurant due to the poor quality of the food. The only positive note was the salsa and chips, although they had a hair in them and appeared to be recycled. Additionally, there was mold in the water we were served. It seems that the recent positive reviews were fabricated by the owners. Overall, the food, service, and atmosphere all rated a 1 out of 10.
This restaurant has changed its name, but the food is terrible. We just spent $80 on a takeout order and when we got home, we ended up throwing the food away.

This restaurant has the best food I've ever tasted. The waitress, Diana Kirkland, is very attractive and provides excellent service in a clean and friendly environment. The rating for the food, service, and atmosphere is a perfect 5. I would highly recommend trying dishes such as Chilaquiles, Taco Tostada Enchilada, Chimichanga, Steak Burrito, and Tilapia Avina. The price per person is between $10 and $20 for lunch.
