Cozy. It was just right after our long drive to Williamsburg. Loved the feel of the hotel and loved that it was QUIET and I could talk to my family. The black eye pea hummus wrap was delightful. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Sweet Tea Barley:
The ambiance of the dining room resembles that of an old family home, but in reality, it's merely a room in a bar. The service was extremely slow, and I am surprised that this is part of a Marriott hotel; it’s hard to believe this is the best they can offer for a hotel restaurant. View all feedback.
Great dinner with a jazz trio on the patio on a beautiful night. Food came out a little bit slow, but was an overall good value
We were seated at tables in the bar area- not really scenic for an old Williamsburg lodge. Chicken was over cooked and not a lot of food for a $31 plate of chicken.
Creative menu excellently prepared and promptly and friendly served
The worst experience I we have ever had in Colonia Williamsburg. Waited 45 mins for our drinks. After waiting too long for our entrees, the manager came to tell us the kitchen did not have what one of us ordered. Ordered a hamburger cooked rare and it arrived well done. Catfish had some sort of sugar in the crust that was unpleasant. And there was a big TV in the main dining room playing basketball! So much for 18th-century elegance at Colonial Williamsburg. Never eat here. It’s tragically bad.
The service was great, the food was… ok. The fried pickles were thinly sliced, which was great, but they were very greasy and the breading did not stick to the pickles at all. The salads were good, but for the price, I expect better. With everything being so much more expensive, I expect a certain level of quality, this just wasn’t it. It was convenient, the atmosphere was nice, and our server was attentive and friendly. Food was meh.
