Reviews summary
Dining experiences at this Williamsburg establishment yield a mixed bag of opinions. While some diners have praised the attentive service and clean atmosphere, many others lamented the underwhelming quality of the food. Signature dishes often lack flavor, with a tendency toward overcooked rice and heavy reliance on vegetables at the expense of protein. Diners expressed disappointment over portions, especially in dishes like cashew chicken, leading some to question the value given rising prices. Overall, the restaurant may please those seeking convenience, but the uninspired cuisine leaves much to be desired. Proceed with caution.

My mother and grandmother made it from scratch, and the service was excellent—fast and very attentive. The restaurant was spotless, which made for a great atmosphere. Overall, we had a wonderful experience. If we find ourselves back in Williamsburg, we will definitely return to this place! View all feedback.
What Tre Stanton dislikes about No 1:
I don't usually research every restaurant, but the beef I had for lunch was terrible. The rice was flavorless, and the only vegetable in it was large pieces of raw, wobbly bits. View all feedback.

Horrible, the worst i ever ate, and it ended up in the bin. Lo mein noodles were absolute mush, no flavor, and the beef was mostly gristle. Never again.
Very mediocre, simply pulled into the opposite and try a series of different restaurants. the lo mine had no other taste than celebrity soy sauce, the general tso (both han and tofu) was very dark with not much taste. the egg rolls were inexpensive, rice was overcooked and granular. Definitiw pass on, they are better off to pick frozen bagged Chinese food than to eat here.
The general tsaos chicken sauce was very thin and watery. I still tried it thinking maybe they didn't put enough of something to thicken the sauce.. Then I noticed the flavor is also off like something that is going bad was put in or it was prepared in a dirty dish. And then the icing on the cake was I found a long black hair cooked into the chicken breading. I am feeling sick after eating a couple pieces of the chicken...I think I may have gotten food poisoning
