The brisket sandwich was absolutely delicious. I had them add some coleslaw on the sandwich plus some sweet and tangy bbq sauce to make it heaven. The Mac an cheese was good, my daughter ate it all. My wife liked her sausage sandwich. Three well fed and happy customers. There weren't many tables and there was a long line but it moved fast. Plenty of parking in the large lot. View all feedback.
Finally decided to give this place a try and we were not disappointed. Hubby and I were both craving bbq but unsure of what we wanted to order. Staff was super helpful in explaining the menu. One of them showed us a tray of their burnt ends fresh out of the kitchen and our minds were made up. We each got a 1/2 lb and opted for coleslaw with deviled egg salad added for hubby. The burnt ends were gorgeously glazed, tender, and absolutely delicious! I wish we weren't moving as we'd love to go back and try more of their food.Vegetarian options: Jackfruit as a meat alternative

Great food, best briskets! One of very few places that I can’t stop raving about! One of few places us locals can enjoy in a tourist town!
Went to matchstick BBQ on a Sunday evening. It was about eight 8:10 p.m. and they were out of barbecue ribs beef brisket and smoked turkey as well as one of the sausages. Ended up getting pulled pork sandwich and mac and cheese. Very nice portion of pulled pork on a fresh brioche bun. They have three barbecue sauce all made in-house. Nice touch with the marinated pickled onions and pickles on the side. The desserts looked very yummy. Very clean, engaging employees and owner very nice and friendly. I would highly recommend enjoying a meal or two at this locally owned and ran restaurant.
Me and my partner noticed this place while going into Food Lion and thought we would check it out. We bypassed another barbecue joint, read Yelp, and thought this may be a great meal.It was good but not great. Let me correct that. The meats were AMAZING and so was the customer service. We had brisket, pulled pork, and a hot sausage link. The brisket was tender, juicy, and so flavor full. I could have just eaten meat all night. However the stars are reduced because of the sides. The greens were not your typical southern style and that is okay for some. They seemed to be cooked in a vinegary broth with onions and garlic. My partner doesn't care for vinegar and was hoping for a smoked meat based seasoning. The potato salad was simple but flavorful, and I enjoyed it. It's rare that you find potato salad with egg in it and it was really well put together without too much mayo. The Mac and cheese was rather food service type and needed a bit of doctoring. Would I visit again? Of course!!! Those meats baby. Arby's says they have the meats, but I'm going with Matchsticks for the next time I am in WBurg.
