What Carlos doesn't like about Chowning's Tavern:

This place was amazing! the building is beautiful, eating was amazing, and the ambiente was beautiful. my only complaining was that the menu might have been one.
The tavern has a nostalgic charm reminiscent of Colonial Times. The staff is dressed in period clothing and the food is delicious. The service is excellent as well. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone interested in experiencing authentic Colonial cuisine.
We dined at this restaurant three nights in a row! The hot spiced wine, hot buttered rum, and house-made chips and dips were all wonderful. The corn chowder and Welsh rarebit were amazing! This tavern is definitely a place we will return to.
