I don't know what any of these people who gave a bad review talks about: this is one of my favorite places to get food in Williamsburg. The staff and the owner are amazingly friendly. My fiancé and I love getting the turkey and brie sandwich. The whole food is so delicious!! I'll go a few times a month. I would definitely recommend going. Great view and great food! They also support many local small businesses and ha... View all feedback.
What Alvena Ankunding doesn't like about Dale House Cafe:
Pay $30 for a sandwich and a salad. For so much I would expect 5 star quality food, but the cucumbers tasted old, the ranch came in a tiny package, the tomatoes were okay I guess, and it's $3 to add five thin slices of chicken?????????????????, and they said they couldn't put a cheese on my salad because they didn't shredd cheese, but right next to the woman when she said. Tasty creative food, great customer service, and an amazing staff! Heathy choices as well as yummy splurge offerings! Gorgeous outdoor dining right on the James River. efinitely worth the stop!
*Small warning* this is not a roadside restaurant it?s within Historic Jamestowne! The employees were friendly as heck and the food was pretty good too! Had the Special Wrap of the Day: ?Black beans, Chickpeas, in a Chipotle Ranch sauce w/peppers, onions, Cheddar cheese and tomatoes all wrapped in a warm tortilla.?The side was a double Egg Potato Salad. Definitely not your standard ?Tourist trap food fair!?
Good spot (warning it is a slight walk from the parking lot behind the visitor center). I had the turkey brie sandwich with apple and cranberries on the sandwich. The bread was cinnamon swirl. Great sandwich for stuff you think would not go together. The devil egg potato salad was very delicious.
Nice place for lunch, drinks or dessert on the James River if you need a break from exploring the website. Everything was fresh. The food was wonderful. Recommend Turkey and Brie.
