Lovely dinner at Aerie with a beautiful sunset view. I had the swordfish and risotto which was excellent. Others had the elk (perfectly done), gnocchi, and scallops. All dishes were great. View all feedback.
What Curtiss B Stewart Jr doesn't like about Aerie Lounge Phone Number, Reservations, Reviews:
Service was great, ambiance was too. But nothing about the meal blended well. The Valentine’s Day menu was a surprise because it wasn’t posted anywhere, and they were out of several limited options. The shrimp appetizer was just shrimp salsa with nothing else, the olive bread tasted weird with the olive oil and balsamic vinegar provided, and the entree was just okay. The carrots were undercooked, the potato was just... View all feedback.
My wife and I have made it a yearly tradition to visit Traverse City and dine at Aerie. This year, I had a gift card for the Resort that I intended to use for our dinner. Everything went smoothly until it was time to pay. When I presented my gift card, I was informed that the system was undergoing an update and would be operational within the next 24 to 48 hours. As a result, I had to unexpectedly spend over $300 on our meals. I suggested to our server that it would be beneficial to inform guests at the beginning of their dining experience about any potential issues that could affect them. She agreed and mentioned that the front desk host should be responsible for communicating such information. However, the host only seated us, and all our interactions were with our server. Since she was the one handling the payment, it would have been appropriate for her to inform us about the system update.
Cold food at the Easter buffet, and a $300 bill for a family of four. My 12 year old ate three pancakes and a rice crispy treat, and they charged her as an adult $60). Involuntarily charged us a $50 tip for someone to bring us water and coffee. We will never be back. Go to the Hofbrau. Half the price and twice the value.
We had the breakfast buffet. It was decent. Sausage and bacon were good. Pancakes were super dry. Potatoes were decent and the egg dish was not very good. Good options for fruit, oatmeal, and parfaits.
Worked here for 3 years, sad to see how downhill it’s gone. Food was cooked improperly, and with the steak only being about 6 oz, it felt wrong to be paying $72 for it. You could tell waitstaff just wanted to leave. Had food allergies so I couldn’t eat anything on the specialty menu. I know they’re allowed to give you the regular menu because we did that for years, I just think the waitstaff didn’t want to accommodate. Instead I was told “well you can just have drinks and then leave” instead of making something I would be able to eat. The specialty menu was not advertised on the website so we had no idea the regular menu would not be available or we would have made reservations elsewhere. In hindsight the drinks were AMAZING. You can tell the bartender loves their job. Still tipped well because it could have been an off day, but probably won’t be going back
The food was great and the atmosphere was very peaceful. Thanks
