Was Grant S at Shell a mag?
My friends and I were returning from a bachelor party when we spotted the Chicken Shack sign by the roadside, and we felt we had to stop. We enjoyed some delicious chicken sandwiches while amusingly watching a construction worker in a rather unrefined moment. As we were leaving, I noticed a burrito on the ground and nudged it aside to avoid any potential safety issues. The clerk, not too friendly, snapped at me, "Why... View all feedback.
What Thomas L dislikes about Shell:
The sandwich was extremely overpriced and disappointingly small. I felt like I was being ripped off. What made me regret choosing this restaurant even more was noticing a McDonald's just around the corner. View all feedback.

Their bathrooms are open to the public and there's a little seating area nearby. People coming and going and some are just there for a break. The restrooms are decently clean. It's the first thing you see when you've been heading east on the 20 for awhile, but there are other options near by too.
The best location for a gas station. Everytime I drive through the area I need to fuel up. Life saver.
I purchased a large Red Bull for $4.59 at this Shell station, and as soon as I placed it in my car, a small hole appeared in the middle of the can. I returned to the cashier, Irene, but she was quite rude and refused to allow me to exchange it. I don't recommend stopping by here due to the poor quality of their items. For reference, she was at register 1 (#6290) at 3:35 PM on June 21, 2023.
We were served by a guy who wasn't very attentive. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger, but it arrived undercooked and had a hair in it. The only redeeming quality were the fries, which were good enough to earn a single star.
Today, my friend and I decided to give the place another chance, but we encountered yet another unfriendly employee. We asked if a particular staff member still worked there, as we hadn’t seen him in a while and knew him personally. The employee we approached was nice and asked another staff member about it, but she responded with an attitude, implying we were somehow confrontational for asking. What made it worse was that she spoke in Spanish, assuming we wouldn’t understand. We had been polite about the burger issue and our inquiry, yet we were met with rudeness both times. I would recommend avoiding this restaurant if possible. Some of the employees are not only rude but also talk negatively about customers in Spanish.

I remember when they built the market. What a nice addition! There are safe, clean bathrooms and a cute boutique along with a deli and gas station. Everything you need before heading to the north coast!

As we were leaving, I noticed a burrito on the ground and nudged it aside to avoid any potential safety issues. The clerk, not too friendly, snapped at me, "Why don’t you just pick it up?" Just for context, I'm not a gas station clerk. Despite that little incident, I must say it was a delightful experience overall. I’d give it a solid 5 out of 5 for the food and the atmosphere!
The fried chicken here is fantastic, and there are plenty of drinks and interesting items for sale. For as long as I can remember, it's been a go-to spot for last-minute fuel before heading to Clearlake.
