I don't really eat ice cream but this was the best homemade ice cream I've ever had! They are quick to make everyone's orders. We only waited maybe 10 minutes. They also have a fun miniature golf here View all feedback.
What Michael Ruggero doesn't like about Duffer's Old Fashioned Ice Cream Parlor:
Horrible. Girl at register was so nasty and obviously had a bad day. So I mention that she is rude. No surprise our ice cream came with a hair in it. All three cones. Guess these employees stick together!!! Skip this one if you want decent anyt. View all feedback.
We went to celebrate our grandson's birthday. He was so excited the staff was great had a really great time
The ice cream is delicious and they have a large selection of flavors. The servings are huge. You will not be disappointed.
This place is known for two things: the well kept nautical themed mini golf, and the homemade ice cream that you pretty much only get in orders exceeding the human limit. There's also regular food, which is pretty good diner style. I ordered a roast beef sandwich with an impressive mound of roast beef on each half of the open sandwich. So the idea is to come hungry here as you will get taken care of regardless of your target. Sundaes are best split with 1 other, splits are best shared with 2-4 others. The ice cream is decadent and creamy. The arcade is pretty good considering its size but you have so much competition in the area that I wouldn't bother going for the arcade. Also the place is crammed tight, so getting to the restroom or around the restaurant can be a challenge. Oh there's also a gift shop, why not. I go for ice cream and mini golf, that alone should be enough for anyone to warrant going. But the meals are similarly generous. Kid-friendliness: Between the arcade, the mini golf, the toy train running throughout the eating area, and more, yeah this place has a lot for kids to get enamored by.
On the downside, the quality of the food was just OK (ex. the ice cream) and the atmosphere was very loud, we could hardly hear each other speak. I do think that they have too many tables for the size of the dining space. But on the upside, our kids enjoyed the toy train overhead and they had fun at the arcade which is attached to the restaurant.
Real nice family setting restaurant with delicious food and a home like atmosphere.
