Delicious, authentic Mexican food. They had 4 different kinds of salsa and all 4 were perfectly different and tasty. The chips were fresh too. I had the birria tacos and my husband had the asada street tacos with rice and beans. We both were completely satisfied and can’t wait to go back. Our server was very attentive and helpful with my questions about the menu. If you want real authentic Mexican food, this is the p... View all feedback.
What JP Hernandez doesn't like about El Rey Mexican Grill:
As far as food and service, this place is good at that. The prices on the other hand are ridiculous. I use to come to this spot for decent tacos with great prices. I use to order at the counter grab my food and leave, now they sit you down and order of a menu for some strange reason. Food is a bit different, not bad but not what is expected from a SoCal taco shop. Cali burrito had almost no fries, nearly no cheese, no sour cream, and a whole lot of what seemed like very oily shredded beef, the taste of the beef was alright but that's not a Cali burrito in any way. A true Cali burrito should be carne asada, fries, cheese, sour cream and guacamole (they also add rice and beans, not sure why, we requested without). Will not likey return.
First time here and it’s honestly delicious. Satisfied my craving for good Mexican food ?
Ordered because of the good reviews and I wanted to try a new place, the food was ok at best.
