Sands Spa - Wilberforce
Sands Spa
Description
Located near Algonquin Park, this restaurant offers a gourmet touch to its slightly pricey menu. Despite the lovely view of the sandy beach and lake, diners have had issues with persistent houseflies by the windows. The food, however, is described as quite good. Some customers have experienced communication issues with additional charges for salads. Despite this, many have praised the friendly staff and comfortable rooms of the accompanying hotel. Overall, the food has received mixed reviews, with some dishes being great (such as the mussels) and others being disappointing (such as the dry fish). Overall, it seems the restaurant's location and service stand out, while the food quality varies.

We came here because it was recommended by our host nearby. We really hated the food. It was just so bad in every way possible. It didn't taste fresh. It was just a shame because the staff was super friendly and even took the cocktails of the bill because we told her we didn't really like them. We where also super suprised because this restaurant has so many good reviews online. We really didn't understand.
I have stayed here for many times over the decades This stay just as comfortable as the rest just different owners The view is outstanding to wake up to in the morning very soothing to the soul .Great service friendly people . Average prices for this area Very comfortable rooms > I will continue to stay at the Sands and I would definetly recomend to any traveler
We have come to this restaurant several times. My wife & I order the special which came with soup or salad. I choose a Caesar salad. Everything was great until the bill came charging me extra $3 for the salad. The waitress had offered a salad with the meal. Poor communication!!!!!! This might be my last trip to this restaurant.
Amazing pedicure - one of the best ever! Siobhan is outstanding...relaxing environment, so worth the drive! Will be back for more services for sure.
Met with friends for supper at this little gem in cottage country near Pembroke OntarioThe restaurant has a beatiful dining area overlooking Golden lake. I had the pickerel and my friends had the fish and chips. Although the meal was slow in coming the wait was worth it. The fish was perfectly prepared, the fries were home made and the veggies were very tasty. A great place for a relaxing meal.
