Was Jvalant at Rowntrees a mag?
I had 3-4 trips to this shopping centre so everytime I had to wait while others shopped, I would try out a new coffee place. This was decent without being spectacular. Worth a visit. View all feedback.
What TheFussyTeenager dislikes about Rowntrees:
After checking the restaurant's opening hours online, I arrived around 3:15pm. A server approached the counter and asked for my order. Despite seeing mushrooms and other breakfast items still on display, I inquired about bacon/sausage sandwiches. Another server chimed in and informed me that they were no longer serving those items. Went here as this is the best place in the Arndale, will go again and this time take daughter and son in law. Staff really great and friendly and food great home cooked food!!
Visited in December. Certainly seems to offer the old school type cafe meals although I only had a coffee. Staff were very friendly. It has to entrances so wrap up as in winter it can be a bit draughty
I eat here whenever I am in Manchester. I like both the cooked breakfasts and lunch menu. It is usually busy, so you're expected to eat up and leave, as the table is needed for people waiting.
Lovely vegetarian breakfast thank you. No nonsense good old fashioned breakfast on a Sunday. Exactly what my partner and I needed. Service was great too.

I stopped by for a quick lunch before an event at the AO. The staff was friendly and there was a wide variety of options on the menu. The food quality was just okay - the omelette was alright but on the smaller side, and the chips were lukewarm.
Feeling confused by the response, I decided to go to Café North instead and enjoyed a (likely better) bacon, sausage, and egg sandwich there.
I was extremely disappointed after visiting this restaurant. I initially planned on having the homemade pie but changed my mind at the last minute and ordered the big breakfast instead. It turned out to be a big mistake. The only thing I enjoyed on the plate was the bacon. The sausage was terrible, the mushrooms had a strange grey color and tasted like they had been boiled, and the black pudding was undercooked. Overall, I would not recommend this place and will not be returning.
We just so happened to come across this cafe on a visit to Manchester, the food was home made and hot , compliments to the chef it tasted good very good shell certainly pay another visit when that way again.
