What User dislikes about Plata Tapas:
Sadly I didn’t take photos, wish I had as the food was excellent. Service was great, they put up with my family on Xmas eve, where we lost track of what we ordered and drank plenty through our stay! All of the plates were lovely, nice quality ingredients and cooked well. Kinda wish the seating was a little more comfortable, as it seems to be all wooden chairs, it’s quite an industrial setting within the arches. Very... View all feedback.

Great little place situated in the railway arches near Wigan North Western station. Nice ambience about the place. The food was authentic, fresh and oh so tasty. We had 5 dishes to share, that was plenty for the two of us. The cod loin so tender, the baked aubergine dish was fresh and yummy too, along with the medjool dates stuffed with goat's cheese and the spicy pumpkin special. The place was more or less full by 6pm including a party of around 10. Staff handled this really well and service was great throughout. Shame we live in a different town or we would be there regularly!

I visited this cozy Tapas restaurant for the first time to celebrate my 50th Birthday. My husband and I received a complimentary glass of Prosecco, which was a lovely gesture. The food was extremely fresh and delicious, all authentic with no frozen items. The staff were all very friendly and the service was fast. I will definitely be returning in the future.

We visited on a Thursday night. The food is excellent. We ordered more croquettes as they were excellent. I would like to give the restaurant full stars but my slight reduction of rating from very good to excellent was only due to the slow response of the waitress. She was alone doing both bar and waiting tables. However, it was a quiet evening and could have been slightly more reactive. Having said that, the food and drink was excellent and we will return again.

We’ve wanted to try this place out for ages and decided a wet June Sunday was the perfect time. The food was fantastic, in particular the sardines, the dates wrapped in Serrano ham and the cauliflower steak. Will definitely be back!

We have been here several times and it never disappoints. Lovely tasty food and good service by pleasant people. Quiet tonight due to Challenge Cup final but very enjoyable. Specials add variety if you’ve worked your way through the main menu.
