La Cava - Wigan

I have been to this restaurant many times (although not by choice) and have been disappointed every time. I felt compelled to write this review so that people know the truth. The service is always slow, with staff regularly missing tables or adding extra items to orders, resulting in significantly higher prices compared to similar restaurants nearby. During my last visit, I ordered a medium-sized steak which first arrived medium, then well-done (likely reheated in the microwave) a few minutes later. The third time it was barely rare, but I decided to just eat it as most people would have called it quits by then. The restaurant did not apologize or offer a discount for the inconvenience. For anyone looking for delicious Mediterranean cuisine with accurate orders, I recommend going to Toscana down the road - it's cheaper and much better.

My family and I came to this restaurant for dinner tonight. It had been many years since we last visited, but we were not disappointed. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, making sure we felt comfortable. The atmosphere was filled with smiles, music, and laughter, creating a great experience. The food was delicious and we can't wait to come back. Thank you.

This restaurant is excellent. The food is delicious and the service is quick. The ambiance is lovely with elegant decor. The staff is friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend this place for dining with family and friends. I will definitely be returning soon.

Amazing as always. I have booked a table for holy evening, I went with some friends eating was delicious.

We came to La Cava this evening and how disappointed we was with the service. Our table was booked for 7:30pm, by 8:30pm we had been served a Garic Bread! I asked the waitress how long our meals would be, No update. By 8:50 we...had had enough, The waiter could not tell me how long our food would be. No apology nothing …. In the end we left paying our drinks bills as they was happy to serve 3 rounds of drinks. La Cava you are better than this !
