View all feedback.

View all feedback.
Great trout, great service, great beer. Great location. Very glad we found this place. The smoked and mullerin whisper trout with potatoes and noodles were excellent.
The location and ambiance of this place is great, the food is excellent but the service left us disappointed. The specialty of the house is trout, smoked, baked, grilled, you name it they have it, however on this visit we weren’t in the mood for...fish. We both opted for a meat dish, my partner had Roast Pork with different types of dumplings in a rich gravy, while I had the local Schnitzel, topped with William pears, Rochefort cheese and sauce hollandaise, served with country style chips(not fries), amazing flavours. During lunch we had house red which was acceptable. After lunch We wanted to sit outside to enjoy the last sunny days of autumn, outside seating offered heating and we also requested Glühwein to warm up our insides, great opportunity to snuggle up and keep warm, very romantic .
Inside it smells like a deepfryer. But the weather made us eat outside. Children's burger the schnitzel doesn't fit on a plate. Beer list exceeds expectations. Worth a return visit. However bring cash. No credit card accepted. The European Maestro bankpass is not accepted...either...
This is was the worst restaurant experience I have had in the two years I have lived in Germany. although we had reservations, we waited for an hour for our food. When it arrived we explained to the waitress that we each had ordered a...fondue to be told that they only had two fondue pots and all the people who wanted cheese fondue had to sit at one table and those who wanted meat had to sit at another table. With the cheese fondue, we only received bread in a small basket to dip. the fondue bowl was small and had to be shared between people each of us paying euro. At each table, those who ordered either a cheese or meat fondue went without because they were at the wrong table. During the meal, we asked if we could switch the pots so that those at each table who ordered something else could get their order. It took awhile for the staff to assist us to do this. We also complained that there was something off with the wine and cheese in the fondue. At the end of the meal, those who did not get a meal asked to speak to the owner because they felt they should not pay euro for a meal they did not receive only to be threatened by the owner that he would call the polizei if they did not pay. After a long back and forth conversation, he explained to us that he did not need our business. Although the scenery was beautiful, I could have gone and hike the surrounding area for free.
Last week I made reservations to celebrate my birthday with about friends at this restaurant. We ordered four meat and four cheese fondues. You'd think that each person would get their own fondue, right? Wrong. The chef prepared one fondue pot for cheese and...one fondue pot for meat--at separate tables. So, the couples who were thinking about sharing could not. On top of that, the chef prepared no side dishes. or so for meat on a stick and a bowl of french fries (for the whole table). When we talked to the chef at the end and told him that we felt this was a totally disorganized affair, he was not contrite or willing to even see if from our point of view. If you live in Wiesbaden, I encourage you not to bring your business to this restaurant. The chef cuts corners to make a major profit. I ended up eating six small bites of chicken and five pieces of cheese fondue. Not worth the money. Plus, who wants to make money for a jerk like that?
