Original hessian garden place! There's everything that makes the heart of the Hesse beat faster! The Äbbelwoi Schmidt is always a good excursion destination in the beautiful Walkmühltal. Whole lazy can also park right outside the door. All others walk or cycle. In principle, you can also sit inside. Don't pay. In any case, you should bring a jerk, as it cools very quickly in the evening. Unfortunately, the toilets ar... View all feedback.
What Giuseppe Menzel doesn't like about Aebbelwoi Schmidt Im Walkmuehltal:
Super location directly in the green area surrounded by several Schrebergartens. Beautiful excursion destination and nice beer garden, where there is decent food and a delicious natural beer local beer. The facility is, however, very rustic for a beer garden so also i.O.! View all feedback.
Unpretentious, simple, rustic garden local, beautifully grown with trees and other plants. I like the wooded atmosphere in the countryside, at the edge of Wiesbaden, below the federal road, which leads to Taunusstein. There are a few parking spaces right in front of the restaurant, otherwise you have to look for something in the narrow streets around it. After four of us had chosen a free table, the friendly service came to pick up the drinks and bring the menus. We have experienced both service workers, a young woman and a man as friendly, attentive and flott. I find the food offer somewhat confusing. On-line you will find the regular card with little things, as well as a weekly card. There are also tables on site with three, four other dishes and an additional small map, on which there will be, for example, Schnitzel. Actually, a standard card and a special card should be enough. Breit is definitely the choice, even if there are only small, fast beer garden dishes. Eggs with green sauce, sausages, herring, pancakes, sausage salad, baked feta, chili con carne, etc., a really colorful offer. The spoon comes from the Wiesbaden apple wine cellar Emmel, but the Äbbelwoi Schmidt also offers grapes wines, beers, soft drinks, coffee variations and spirits. Of course, the hand-cassian made me curious to a coupler. No, no meat burger with cheese on top, rather the bulette is replaced by the hand cheese! So hand cheese with music in the bun! Of course, no fine palate, but as simple as brilliant! With the idea, just in a hessian garden place! In addition, we had a good but unspectacular cream cheese, pork ridge steak with onions in the bun, cucumber salad with dill and (for us unfortunately not leakable) mint in light candy sauce, a sweet pancake and red lentil vegetables with onions and garlic. Little things you can enjoy in a summerly relaxed atmosphere. By the way, all food came at the same time, which I often do not experience in some good places! In winter, so we were told, whole goose is offered in advance. I liked the little trip to Äbbelwoi Schmidt, especially because all the contributions and feedback from the years 2014 to 2016 were negative for service and food and we were really positively surprised. Hopefully it stays that way!
Very, very slow operation, brought the wrong food and did not apologize once. Then the queue went on... the so-called homemade potato salad was nothing but self-made. Only the host was nice and friendly. Unfortunately for food and drink not recommended.
This place has definitely seen better times. Even the large number of plastic flowers installed everywhere cannot overlook the fact that ambience here has come down quite gambley. Aarstraße, located close to the SEHR, does not create a real feel-good atmosphere. But since we were here before, we wanted to take a drink. Both drinks were served in dirty and cuddly dishes. Significant lip prints from the pre-user, the cup regularly dusted in, as the nasty quality of the drinks themselves no longer surprised. All in all, therefore, a very coherent overall impression. During our visit in Wiesbaden it was really very hot yet the entire beer garden was almost human. We weren't surprised.
Beautiful and sunny garden area with attentive service. In addition to spoons, tasty (naturtrübes) beer and self-sufficient hearty cuisine are also offered. Äbbelwoi Schmidt is wonderfully accessible by bike through the Walkmühltal. The trip is worth it!
A very beautiful beer-abbelwoi garden! For the kids there are two climbing stands in the neighboring garden (but not visible) The hand cheese is classy, rippchen with herb and the (why) prefabricated carving is rather bad. ABER my claim (good äbbelwoi with good hand cheese from very nice operation in beautiful beer garden) has sufficed. We are coming back!!!
