Sebastiano - Wien

Would definitely recommend Sebastiano's. We hadn't made a reservation but they managed to accommodate us. Warm welcome from friendly and attentive waiters. Delicious bruschetta to begin with followed by risotto and pappardelle. We were going on to a concert so no time for the delicious...desserts others have mentioned. Next time!

Thank you TripAdvisor. !!!!We ate here after reading the previous reviews and felt we found a little gem. The food and service were excellent, possibly the best Italian food outside Italy. The owner was very attentive and welcoming, you were not treated as a tourist Should we come back to Vienna it will definitely be on our to do list.

This is a very welcoming warm and friendly restaurant. The menu was presented on a large slate - in Italian but the waiter was happy to translate into German. It is a small menu because all the food is fresh and mostly home made even the wonderful Pesto. My partner had a generous portion of Calamari which he found perfect - I opted for a pasta with pesto and Prosciutto Crudo - there was a little too much saltiness in the sauce which may have had a touch of MSG and that spoilt it for me - the chef's creaitons here appear very good and do not need excessive salt or MSG. There is a good selection of wine and staff are keen to ensure you are happy: I found the Wiener Gemischter Satz a touch too sweet for my liking and was immediately offered a chance to taste alternatives - both the Pinot Grigio and the Grünerveltliner turned out to be excellent. A thoroughly enjoyable visit.

We actually walked by on a Monday night and it was closed, so we made plans to go back (without reservations).We were quite lucky as they were able to seat us immediately. We tried the spaghetti with pesto sauce, the steak papadelle and the grilled squid. Of course, we tried the sample dessert and decided to add an order of tiramisu (because it was so-o-o good)All in all, the food was impressive, we especially liked the grilled squid. The spaghetti (with pesto sauce) was tasty but the pasta is too soft.The dessert sampler gave us a chance to try different things on the menu and we decided to order an extra portion of tiramisu.Oh, what can I say...... we have had tiramisu in numerous other restaurants, but this is one of the best (if not the best)!The mascarpone cheese sauce was like a dream, it was so smooth and trust - we could finish 4 additional portions if we weren't so full.
