Was User at Kaffeerestaurant Nil a mag?
View all feedback.

What User dislikes about Kaffeerestaurant Nil:
View all feedback.

The nil is an institution in the 7th district. I like to introduce my meet with colleagues here, as no disturbing music and simply authentic North African cuisine, all kinds of drinks and a proper selection of times. the patron with the nil is an enrichment in the 7th district, careful, sympathetic and cosmopolitan.

Eating was okay, but freshly prepared! the service was really, really slow and unprofessional - but I cannot generalize as I was served exclusively by a waitress.

I knew Cafe Nil from a previous visit and came to have explicitly dinner and breakfast to try it again... also to taste real Egyptian food after not being in Egypt for a while. I like the atmosphere and the location in this cafe, as it really is done in a way, would have been a simple Egyptian cafe in classic times. Wooden chairs, small tables ... meet the typical cafe style people in Egypt and enjoy a game of Taula (Backgammon) or a decent Domino game in the evening. Cafe Nil offers a small selection of dishes and drinks, including typical teas such as black tea, karkade (Hibiscus) and a range of standard drinks. The food is usually real (with the exception of CousCous ... not sure why they offer it, but I did not try it). I was looking for a Koshari for dinner, but they did not have it on the menu (go to Koshry Lux when you are in Berlin). I had the Dawood Basha in the evening. OKish with a special mix of spices (I would not only come for it). For breakfast I had a plate with typical Egyptian food Fool, Taameya (and not Fallafel), Egg, Salad, Bread and Tea. I have recently missed Falafel particularly decent and I can recommend to everyone to try it out. All in all 4 stars to be authentic and authentic, with typical Egyptian dishes. Despite what I read in other reviews about the service, I was well treated and cannot complain.

We were in the mood to eat something after we had spent a few hours at a fair in the city hall. So we went with line 49 to Cafe Nil. It was well booked, but a wonderful table near the big window was free for us. The guy was a little too busy to be friendly, but the food was great.
