Our nine days in Vienna turned out to be all about art museums, a different one each day. What a surprise to find good dining in most all of them. The restaurant at the Albertina (which is an interesting collection well worth visiting) was actually FINE dining. Grilled tuna, fresh pasta, classy service. Lunch for two was 71 Euro, but worth it. Go to a museum where I'm from and you'd be lucky to get chicken fingers! View all feedback.
What haylingseagoon doesn't like about DO & CO Albertina:
I visit the Albertina on most of my trips to Wien. On this occasion I was plonked on a tiny table just inside the restaurant it really wasn 't busy. Sandwiched between the wall and the sound system. With staff trying not to trip over my feet. Coffee a Grosser Brauner was excellent. As we were eating at the Hungarian restaurant off The Graben (see separate review) this evening I was looking for something light. I opte... View all feedback.
Very nice location ! Also nice atmosphere, modern, « trendy ». Arrived at 8:45, perfect, attentive service, really good!. Around 9:15 service declines, 9:30 nearly no service at all, 10:00, dead. The waiter went away with my bottle of water that was still full, took energy to get it back. You can’t order anything after 9:45…. Food was good, « fashionable » « taste of the world », nothing to write home about, though. Error of 15€ in the bill, needed to ask for correction. The japanese food was prepared by guys who have no idea about Japan… For 160€ per person you can expect better..
We made a reservation here after reading a lot of great reviews. Unfortunately it wasn’t great for us at all. After waiting more than half an hour to place our order we called a waiter our selves, even though they passed us multiple times. After that we wanted another drink, we were able to order that but unfortunately it never came. While the tables behind and next to us got all the attention from the waiters, when they took just a little sip of their wine it got refilled immediately. I guess you have to look old and rich to get service here. After only 3 small dishes we took the bill and left. The bill however came very quickly!

Surprised at some poor reviews. We give it five *s on all counts, especially the food and the staff. Will strongly recommend to others.
