Es handelt sich bei Anker um eine Bäckerei-Kette, die viele Standorte in Wien hat. Es gibt Brot und Gebäck, serviert werden aber auch Snacks, Kaffee und Getränke. Die Qualität ist okay. Aber: In einer tollen Stadt wie Wien, die im Gegensatz zu vielen anderen Städten auch in der Innenstadt wirklich humane Gastronomie-Preise hat, würde ich wirklich nicht Anker gehen. Wien bietet wirklich mehr...

We are fans of the traditional round Semmel, the round brotchen that usually accompanies the pale bratwurst, so we haven't done too much bread exploration, but... read more We are fans of the traditional round Semmel, the round brotchen that usually accompanies the pale bratwurst, so we haven't done too much bread exploration, but Anker is a great place to try new things from the round donut balls to the baked cheese-topped bagettes...and the chocolate croissants. If you are in a hurry, Anker is efficient and there is always at least 2-3 people working behind the counter. They aren't especially friendly, but they will get you want you want and out the door in a jiffy.
