What User doesn't like about Jefe's Mexican:
The restaurant needs more staff. We had to wait for 30 minutes in the heat (108°F) under the terrace, and even after that, we struggled to find a table. After sitting outside for 15 minutes, we decided to take the youngest child indoors to escape the heat, but were told there wasn’t enough space for us to wait inside. While visiting from out of state, my son took us to Jefe's. The food was fantastic, and the service was outstanding. It's hard to find good Mexican food in my area of New York, so this was a real treat for us!
I had the chicken enchiladas with sour cream sauce. It was stuffed with chicken and the taste was flavorful. The waitress was fantastic. Hee name sounds like Carolina, but I couldn’t hear it clearly with our group talking. The group I went with is the Wichita Falls over 50 Singkes Going Dutch group. About 18 members are dinner at the restaurant as a group. The service staff was fast, accurate and doting. We really enjoyed the dining experience.

The back room where we were was a little warm but it cooled off nicely for our group of 16 people. I had Jefes chicken Plate with refried beans and rice. It is a generous portion of food. I struggled to finish it. After a few minutes I ordered the apple pie with ice cream. It was served in a scorching hot cast iron plate. It was delicious and some of my friends were teasing me when I used a straw to get the remaining melted ice cream.
