Frosty Freeze - Wiarton

I drive past here quite often in the summer and there is always a line-up out front. I decided to stop in one day and check it out. It is pretty average ice cream. I was a little surprised to find out that they charged extra to put my ice cream in a cup as opposed to the cone. Overall, it hit the spot on a hot day but I still don't understand why there is always a line-up. It isn't for the ice cream, that much I know.

Really good hotdogs and crispy, hot, French fries, worth the wait. Also good for watching special cars going by in the summer traffic.

You don't need a review to tell you this is a good spot. You can tell by the ever-present lines waiting for ice cream, etc. I can't vouch for the food except to say they have a fairly extensive menu. We stopped in for their creamy ice cream and shakes. Absolutely delicious. More like custard than ice cream.

The walk-up order window and outside tables are perfect for summertime snacks or quick meals. The food for our party of five was ready quickly and correctly. We experimented and added an order of Broccoli Cheese bites, which were surprisingly tasty.
