I am for a long business trip in the city and thought I would try la pescadora on Saturday night, so I have a reservation totally unnecessary; the dining room was empty although the bar was full basketball fans loud watching a game. my place was so low in relation to my table, I could hardly reach over my plate. my margarita came into a metal cup that gave the drink a dirty metallic taste. And my fajitas came with tw... View all feedback.

I chose this restaurant based on my daughter and said it served good eating. before our party of 5 we left my birthday to eat and celebrate, we read a review about this place and how it had bad customer service, but we still went to try it. Oh, my goodness, I was embarrassed and disappointed that the bad review was actually true. our service was terrible. we were the first to be there at 1130 a.m. and it took a very... We were not happy with the seating. They gave us a bar table in the restaurant area.
The food, customer service and atmosphere is fantastic, I took my good friend there for the first time last week and he 's already wanting to know when we 're going back. I had a party of 8 people and every single person loved there food and drinks. from the Bacon wrapped shrimp to a drink called Lick my Chile with cucumber vodka. and our waitress Shirley was the best. if your looking for good authentic Mexican food....This is the Place. I highly recommend it for anyone. located in uptown Whittier with plenty of parking in the back. See Ya there.
Thank you to the staff, which were awesome in accommodating my request for Breakfast during lunch. Was really very nice of them.
We have been looking for a great Mexican restaurant in our area but most have loud Mariachi on Friday nights. While I understand that is a big draw to some people, we prefer a quiet dinner to have conversation vs. screaming at eachother over the trumpets. So, we found La Pescadora on Open Table and tried it out. Our waitress Nora was pleasant and extremely attentive. We ordered way too much food but it was so delicious. Started with Shrimp Cocktails which made us feel like we were on a beach in Mexico. Yum! Ceviche tostada was fresh and delicious. I should have stopped there but decided to continue...one bite after another it was wonderful! The place is not fancy. I would consider this a casual family place. But well worth it.
As soon as you enter...RED ROPE keeps you from sitting onto a table. Choose between Bar seating or regular seating. DJ playing old school n tvs to see your game.. Food n drinks are so your plate alone will be around 20 with a beer. Service is Good. they will fix it if they F it up. Large portions!!
