What Sharen likes about Anchor Inn:
This is where the locals eat. The best halibut fish and chips around this area. Very low key. Very casual. It's for the workers of the town. But a colorful place.Service: 4/5 View all feedback. What Mary Mallozziberg doesn't like about Anchor Inn:
It was cleaner than our previous hotel in Anchorage, however the check in girl was not super friendly to us or her staff. Also when we went to shower the water was hot until we got in within 1 minute and it was ice cold tried again in the morning and same thing happened.Rooms: 3/5 View all feedback.

We got here kind of by accidentAnd we were starving Checked my Yelp App and decided to hit the Anchor Inn.
Not what we expected upon check-in for the size of the room that we have.
Well worth the drive from Anchorage, open 365 days a year, we came for the chowder but stayed for the fried chicken.
Basic room but very comfortable. Restaurant has good food as well.
We enjoyed the fish and chips, had great service. Bartender went out of her way to make sure my wife enjoyed her **** Mary

read moreReviews for the restaurant were mixed, with some complaints about dirty and smelly rooms, poor customer service, and outdated accommodations. However, other guests found the rooms to be clean and the staff accommodating. The restaurant itself received positive feedback for the food quality and service. Overall, while some reviewers were not satisfied with their stay, others had a pleasant experience and would consider returning. The location was noted to be interesting and convenient for tours, despite the need to travel through a one-way tunnel to access Whittier.
