Contribute FeedbackThe dining experience at Qualia's Long Pavilion is truly top-class, offering amazing food, excellent service, and a beautiful tropical atmosphere. The diverse Waygu entry and generous fish dishes are highlights, complemented by knowledgeable and attentive staff. While the breakfast service could use improvement, the dinner experience is exceptional, especially when paired with wines expertly chosen by the head Sommelier. The degustation menu offers a perfect portion size and a variety of tastes and textures. Despite the high price tag, the overall dining experience at Qualia is well worth every cent, providing a true 5-star service.
After the recent closure, qualia is back bigger and better than ever! Exec Chef Doug has presented menus that are inspired in their simplicity and executed beautifully. Every dish we had over our stay exceeded expectations and was simply stunning. Well done to the Management Team of HI for bringing together such a wonderful team of professionals that over deliver every time!
Great food, plenty of choice, not cheap. A must do if staying in Hamilton Island. Staff are very knowledge about the food and wine. Not pushy either which is refreshing!
My wife and I dined here on our second night at Qualia. We were greeted with a smile as we walked in and we were sat on the outdoor decking with the most beautiful views of the island as we watched the sunset (630pm booking).I had the reef fish croquettes to start off and they were delicious. My wife and I both then had the Sirlion with a side of carrots and walnut, and the truffle fries. The steaks were beautifully cooked, the fries were great and the carrots were actually fantastic! As we had an early booking, we noticed the service got a lot slower as the restaurant got busier. Also sitting on the decking is fantastic for sunset dining but a little tricky once the night kicks in as it's hard to see and the little lamp they provide is very soft. My wife's allergies were catered for without the need for adapting the steak and carrot side. Most important she did not get sick which is a credit to the chef and the team for ensuring they run a coeliac friendly kitchen.
Dined at Long Pav while staying on Hamilton Island, and we were really looking forward to experiencing the degustation following some great reviews from previous guests. Unfortunately we found out on arrival that since late January 2017, the degustation is now served at Pebbles Resturant (also at Qualia) and Long Pav is only a la cart. Food was great, service a little hit and miss to be honest, but all round it was very good. The building is amazing and the views at sunset are cracking.
We ate here on NYE and two nights later and both meals were exceptional. The first night we had the wine pairing and the second we didn't. Patrick was our waiter and he was excellent, knowledgeable, approachable and professional. I had some dietary requests and all were met. It is a degustation menu and the potion sizes are perfect, I would suggest if staying at Qualia to give this restaurant a try. One downside was the fact you have breakfast here and I felt the décor and lighting doesn't match the food. Have a cocktail first and then sit down for 2-3 hours and enjoy.
