What Paul Matthews doesn't like about Samphire:
Very limited menu. Bland fish pie (and tasteless potatoes was one of the four main courses (two were vegetarian! excluding a couple of specials. Great service though it has to be said. Why some Whitstable restaurants feel they should charge a discretionary service charge of 12.5%, perhaps because of all the DFL's. Service was very bad and we waited a long time for our food, we didn't order anything special it was food of day but it took forever for our food to arrive. Don't go to this place.
We had a lovely evening. The fish of the day and the seam bream were absolutely delicious.
Great food ,very disappointed with the portion size relative to price !
