Brightwood is a delightful restaurant with a lot of history. It has been in operation for many years and even offers the opportunity to sit in the same booth that Elvis once occupied! The Long Island Iced Teas are exceptional and the bartender is incredibly friendly. This is a must-visit establishment. View all feedback.
I have been meaning to visit this restaurant for years, but I always seemed to pass by when it was closed. However, recently my father and I happened to be nearby at opening time. I finally got to see the famous Elvis stand I had heard so much about. When I arrived, the door was locked and there was no sign of life inside. Just as I was about to leave, an older man appeared and let us in. He turned out to be Paul Treadway, the owner who had been running the place for 59 years. Sadly, the regular bartender was ill, so the bar/restaurant was closed for the time being. However, Paul graciously gave us a tour and shared stories about the history of the place, including the Elvis connection. I hope they reopen soon so I can come back and experience it all over again.
Brightwood is a charming restaurant that has been in operation for many years. You can even sit at the same spot where Elvis once sat! The atmosphere is fantastic and the bartender is very friendly. A must-try spot.
There is never anyone there, and the bartender, who has been working there for many years, cannot make a decent drink.
I had always wanted to visit this historic restaurant for years, but I always seemed to pass by when they were closed. Finally, one day my father and I were driving by and I realized it was opening time at 4:00. I was excited to finally see the booth where Elvis had sat! However, when I tried to enter, the door was locked. I wandered around to the side and peered in through the windows, but there was no one in sight except for an older gentleman who eventually let us in. It turned out that the bartender, who had been there for 59 years, was in the hospital and the restaurant was closed. Nevertheless, the owner, Paul Treadway, graciously showed us around and shared fascinating stories about the place. He even told us the famous Elvis story and showed us the booth. I hope they reopen soon, and I can't wait to come back.
