Rustico Mexican Cuisine

We typically travel outside of Gwinnett County for flavorful Mexican food but took a chance on Rustico. We were greeted by the owner (I remember his face because I visited this restaurant a week after it opened) and he took us to our table. The owner is very involved (host, seating guests, re-arranging and bussing tables, etc) which is a huge plus in our book. The food was flavorful, the service was great and my wife (who is from Southen California) really enjoyed the meal. We ordered fish, steak and chicken tacos and a chicken burrito without the cheese sauce (cheese sauce must be a Southern request because it is not present in Mexican food in Southern California). Our boys order chicken tenders and fries and loved it.As long as the quality of food and service is consistent with our experience today, we will continue to frequent this establishment. Had chicken soup. One of the best ive had. Very very good. Chips salso are ok. Cheese dip was ok too. More onthe liquidy side. Very pleasant workers. Def will be back.Response: the other stuff was just ok as mentioned. Place was clean clean esp the bthrm but im allergic to dust mites so there was alot of dust esp onthe hanging lamp that was right above my food. It really wasnt a big deal tho but since you mentioned noones perfect. But again u are correct the soup was absolutely delicous.

Nice place to eat. Service is fast, portions are big and friendly servers.

Had the nachos and fried shrimp appetizer, both were great.
