We typically travel outside of Gwinnett County for flavorful Mexican food but took a chance on Rustico. We were greeted by the owner (I remember his face because I visited this restaurant a week after it opened) and he took us to our table. The owner is very involved (host, seating guests, re-arranging and bussing tables, etc) which is a huge plus in our book. The food was flavorful, the service was great and my wife (who is from Southen California) really enjoyed the meal. We ordered fish, steak and chicken tacos and a chicken burrito without the cheese sauce (cheese sauce must be a Southern request because it is not present in Mexican food in Southern California). Our boys order chicken tenders and fries and loved it.As long as the quality of food and service is consistent with our experience today, we will continue to frequent this establishment. Thanks for the great experience Beto and team.

I recently dined at Rustico, a Mexican restaurant, and I must say it was an exceptional experience. From the moment I walked in, the vibrant atmosphere set the tone for an enjoyable evening. The decor and ambiance exuded a welcoming charm, instantly making me feel at ease. The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly the freshness of the food. Every bite was a burst of authentic flavors, a testament to the high-quality ingredients used in their dishes. The menu boasted a variety of options, and each dish seemed to showcase the culinary expertise that Rustico prides itself on.The service from the staff was nothing short of amazing. Despite the bustling Friday evening crowd around 6-7 pm EST, the waitstaff remained attentive and efficient. Our orders were taken promptly, and the recommendations from our server were spot-on. It was evident that the team was dedicated to ensuring a positive dining experience for every patron.Speaking of Fridays at 6-7 pm, the restaurant was understandably busy, yet the staff managed the crowd seamlessly. The energy was infectious, and it added to the overall lively atmosphere. Despite the rush, our food arrived promptly, and the staff maintained a friendly and accommodating demeanor throughout. In conclusion, Rustico is a gem for Mexican cuisine enthusiasts. Nice place to eat. Service is fast, portions are big and friendly servers.
Had the nachos and fried shrimp appetizer, both were great.
